I'm chuuppi, your completely unnoteworthy person from the northern Finland

Let's start by explaining where my name comes from. Chuuppi is a corruption of the finnish word 'tyyppi' (IPA: /ˈtyːpːi/). 'Tyyppi' actually is a cognate of the english 'type', as in 'you're not my type'. We in Finland, and at least our brothers in Sweden, use it to refer to a person i.e. 'a guy' or 'a dude' etc.

So i'm just some guy/gal, but why the corruption then? Well, that's because I did go by tyyppi earlier, but once I started learning Japanese and especially playing Japanese video games, I needed to be able to write my name in kana. And let me tell you, writing 'tyyppi' with the Japanese kana is basically impossible, something had to change.

Furthermore, if you were not able to read the IPA, the Finnish pronunciation of 'y' is similar to that of German ü. Meaning that no English speaker is going to get it right either. So after mulling over it for a while, I settled on chuuppi. You can write it quite simply with katakana as チューッピ. Well, it could easily be simpler, but I didn't want to go any further.
